Hey, I'm Zmicier 👋
Staff Software Engineer
Then I joined a magic world of IT outsourcing, doing every job I could: Adobe Flash, Ruby on Rails, Android, .net for sure, and at the end Javascript. I felt in love in Javascript elegance. And being a highly resulted fanatic I was invited to a big enterprise company - what was a change in mindset.
Now I am covering business needs with technologies: establishing processes, doing actual coding, keeping conversations with colleague real. And speaking formal language: cutting edges to achieve low-handing fruits maximizing impact significantly and making the world a better place!
Projects

Home Lab
For end-to-end experience, I established a home lab with a domain name, SSL certificate, and a few services. I have chosen ZimaBlade with a CasaOS on it - to support useful KickStarter projects and because CasaOS is actually Debian. Taking care of our planet, my home server is consuming up to 10W of power! With German prices on electricity - reasonable move!

Portfolio
Buying a domain name first of all for email catch-all - I thought that it would be cool to have own website! That's a personal domain and I don't like publicity - so not a lot of options, but I thought of my mentor who has been wanted a portfolio. So I can make it, and payback to my mentor - that's a cool idea!

- People Network
- Proactivity

Static Site
For static site there tons of options, but I chose Next.js template with MIT license to minimize efforts. It was on an outdated version of Next.js and with unnecessary complexity / dependencies. But being a professional in Javascript I've updated codebase easily. Keeping the dark theme for usability.

AI and post-production
Being able to build a home lab and deploy a web application can be not enough for an awesome software engineer. So I've generated all the images for this portfolio with Midjourney not to break licensing. Plus I improved my own text with a locally run Mistral LLM to care about the end users! Actually my next step for the home lab is to deploy a model locally and play with agents for automation.
